Traci Powers

Publications Designer

Traci, a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, brought nearly 18 years of experience with her when she joined the Section 127 publication team in 2015. Ever wonder how magazine content seems to fit perfectly on a page or why your eye flows effortlessly over the words of a story? Traci is part of making that happen. Her work in the studio focuses on long-form publications for the NCAA, including Champion magazine and various communications pieces.

Her favorite project to work on is Champion, which she finds both challenging and intriguing. Traci’s career in advertising and publications includes working for companies such as IBJ Books & Custom Publishing, Trends International, Lunar Strategies, Hirons & Company and American Greetings.

A few things you may not know about Traci:

  • She cheers for the Cleveland Indians, the IU Hoosiers and the Indianapolis Colts.
  • She’s immensely superstitious *knocks on wood* with her favorite number being 13. Friday the 13th is the best day ever, she says.
  • Traci also is a full-time, often loud-and-proud, soccer/cross country/basketball and track mom, chauffeur, tutor and school volunteer for her kids Maggie and Liam. Sleep is underrated.
