Arnel Reynon

Director of Publications

After graduating from Cleveland Institute of Art, Arnel held many ‘creative’ jobs ranging from painting portraits on ceramic gravestone plaques to hand-drawing color separations for stained glass reproductions. It wasn’t until he answered a newspaper want ad for an editorial cartoonist that his career in publications started.

Spending more than 25 years in the newspaper and magazine industry, he continues his work in publication design and multimedia storytelling at Section 127. As the creative director for NCAA Champion magazine, a publication that won Best Single Issue with Trade and Business Publications International, he and his team are doing publication work that is turning heads, in a good way.

A few things you may not know about Arnel:

  • He once performed the Heimlich maneuver while on a photo shoot.
  • He raises chickens.
  • Arnel makes long-form publications fabulously intriguing.
